Authorised Company

The shareholdings, voting rights and legal beneficial interests are held by non-citizens of Mauritius. Its place of effective management and control is outside of Mauritius. The conduct of business activities is outside of Mauritius, and it is not tax resident in Mauritius.

Foundations

A hybrid between a Trust and a Company. It is a legal entity with its own right and can be used for wealth management purposes.

Global Business Company

Must be licensed by the FSC and it conducts business principally outside of Mauritius. It is tax resident in Mauritius and can benefit from the network of Double Taxation Treaties that Mauritius has entered with other countries.

Succession planning

Appropriate for estate and succession planning and can be set-up with specific purposes. The Mauritius Trust Act allows for a split in trusteeship between a Custodian and a Managing Trustee.
